This is a hands-on role where you'll wear multiple hats"”supporting finance, FP&A, and procurement. If you thrive in a small-business environment and enjoy both analysis and execution, this could be the perfect fit.What You'll DoController Support (Ëœ1/3 of role)Partner with our outsourced accounting team to ensure reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close are accurate.Review financial reports and confirm alignment with purchasing, inventory, and production activity.Support cost accounting and COGS analysis for ingredients, packaging, and production.Maintain financial controls for purchasing, approvals, and expense tracking.Financial Planning & Analysis (Ëœ1/3 of role)Build and maintain Excel dashboards for KPIs (sales, margins, expenses, and inventory).Assist with budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc analysis.Identify cost and sales trends to highlight risks and opportunities.Provide clear, data-driven insights to support leadership decisions.Purchasing & Operations (Ëœ1/3 of role)Manage procurement of raw materials (chocolate, fruit, nuts), packaging, and production supplies.Issue and track purchase orders, monitor vendor performance, and ensure timely deliveries.Align purchasing with seasonal peaks (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, etc.).Maintain purchasing cost records for use in COGS and margin analysis.Provide hands-on support during seasonal peaks to ensure smooth execution.Cross-Functional ExposureCollaborate with production, client services, and leadership.Contribute to process improvements in purchasing, reporting, and vendor management.Support new product launches and R&D projects with financial and operational input.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (required).2-4 years' experience in finance, cost accounting, FP&A, or purchasing (manufacturing, food production, or eCommerce preferred).Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting).Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or similar software.Understanding of cost accounting and COGS.Problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to balance financial analysis with hands-on operations.Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable working in a small, fast-moving business.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year.Benefits: 401(k), paid time off, employee discount, performance bonus eligibility.Growth: Opportunity to advance into broader finance/operations leadership as the business scales.Work Environment: Full-time, on-site role in Totowa, NJ.Why Join Us?This is not a back-office role"”it's a chance to directly shape the financial and operational success of a growing small business.
