Even if you don't meet every qualification or feel unsure about stepping into a larger role, we encourage you to apply as we value potential, growth, and a willingness to learn.Objectives of this Role:Design & EngineeringPrepare construction plans and detailed engineering designs in accordance with FDOT and/or AASHTO standards.Project LeadershipServe as a key member of the transportation design team for moderate"”to large-scale projects and independently manage smaller projects, including preparing the scope and budget.Problem SolvingFormulate and implement timely and innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.Client & Team CommunicationMaintain day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the design team and clients, support junior engineers, write technical reports and memos, and coordinate with sub-consultants.Strategic LeadershipAssist in marketing pursuits, including research and concept development, and contribute to critical decisions regarding staffing, client engagement, and operational strategies to ensure the success and growth of our Jacksonville office.Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringPE CertificationMinimum 8 years of relevant experience, including FDOT and local municipalitiesKnowledge of transportation engineering standards, including the FDOT Design Manual, FDOT Standard Plans, and ASSHTO GreenbookStrong working knowledge of OpenRoads DesignerExcellent technical, written, and interpersonal communication skillsTeam-oriented with a strong ability to work independentlyMotivated to lead and mentor others, fostering growth within the teamAbility to think critically and strategically to drive project successSelf-motivated and self-disciplined with a passion for continuous improvement and career developmentAIM Engineering & Surveying, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
