We are seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention Director to lead our facility's infection prevention and control program. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of a program that ensures a safe, infection-free environment for residents, staff, and visitors.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infection control and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will work collaboratively with all departments to promote best practices and respond to evolving health regulations.Key Responsibilities:Lead the Program: Develop, implement, and maintain an effective infection prevention and control program based on current evidence-based practices and regulatory requirements (CDC, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations).Monitor and Analyze: Conduct ongoing surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and analyze infection trends to develop and implement action plans.Educate and Train: Provide staff with training, education, and corrective actions related to infection control, hand hygiene, PPE usage, and isolation protocols.Investigate and Audit: Lead infection prevention audits, risk assessments, and outbreak investigations.Collaborate: Work closely with nursing, environmental services, and dietary staff to ensure facility-wide compliance.Manage Health Records: Maintain vaccination records and coordinate immunization programs for residents and staff.Qualifications:Current RN or LPN license in good standing.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in long-term care or acute care with infection control experienceStrong understanding of infection control regulations (CDC, OSHA, CMS, state).Excellent communication, education, and organizational skills.Proficiency with electronic health records (e.g., PointClickCare) and tracking tools is a plus.Completion of a CDC or APIC infection prevention training course is preferred, or the willingness to complete one.Salary & Benefits:Salary: LVN $42-$45 per hour with 1+ years of experience.Relocation: We are open to candidates who will relocate on their own.Benefits: Full-time benefits including health benefits, 401k, PTO, and sick days.Schedule: Monday-Friday, with flexibility to assist on weekends as needed.
