Biomedical Software Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Biomedical Software Engineer / Staining Software Engineer, Associate to design and develop innovative staining procedures in collaboration with assay development teams. Candidates will be required to be in the Tucson office Tuesday - Thursday, and will be allowed to work remotely on Mondays and FridaysJob Summary:Designs and develops staining procedures in close partnership with assay development.Develops software supplements that install staining procedures along with the underlying database elements required to support staining procedure(s) in the software application.Delivers projects on time in a fast-paced environment.Mentored on the use of software tools and editing staining proceduresMonitors work to ensure quality and continuously promote Quality First Time.Skill Set RequirementsExperience with ProgrammingStrong leadership and organizationalAbility to plan project components and effectively report status to stakeholders.Knowledge of creating software documentation for a medical device.Knowledge of software databasesExperience with scripting languages - SQL-ite is preferred, but other scripting languages will be acceptedAbility to create project documentation that is complete, consistent, and usable.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of or familiarity with project management tools (such as Smart Sheets, MS Project, or Trello).Ability to create/edit written procedures and document work accurately.Ability to meet deadlines and deliver projects on time.Information Security and Data Privacy fundamentalsHaving a background in biology or chemistry would be helpful to understand the science involved with the processEducationMust have a 4 year degree - preferably in Engineering (preferred), Biology, or Chemistry
