EdgeCore is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director of Reliability Engineering to join our dynamic team and help design the next generation of hyperscale data center infrastructure. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of electrical and mechanical engineering, mission-critical operational reliability, and cutting-edge sustainability to shape scalable, high-density environments that power AI and enterprise workloads around the globe. Your work will directly influence how EdgeCore delivers and operates reliable, efficient, and forward-thinking infrastructure solutions to top-tier clients. This is a career-defining opportunity to help set the design vision for a rapidly scaling company and industry.Collaborate closely with construction and operations teams to design MEP systems that balance cost-efficiency, long-term reliability, and sustainability.Refine and optimize RCA templates and operational best practices to further strengthen MEP and controls infrastructure.Enhance and expand EdgeCore's standards including Basis of Design, Sequences of Operation, protective settings, and commissioning requirements.Oversee the entire MEP design lifecycle"”from initial conceptualization and documentation through commissioning oversight and operations"”ensuring alignment with EdgeCore's performance standards.Lead vendor selection and evaluation for MEP equipment.Serve as a technical subject matter expert in client engagements, including site walkthroughs, proposal development, and customized solution presentations.Develop and continuously improve engineering standards, tools, and methodologies to ensure consistency and scalability across the portfolio.Review and approve technical deliverables, such as schematics, equipment submittals, and commissioning reports for accuracy and compliance.Lead and participate in on-site inspections and design coordination meetings to validate construction quality and adherence to design intent.Support the advancement and deployment of future-ready design frameworks in support of EdgeCore's growth and innovation roadmap.Partner with cross-functional teams"”including Development, Operations, Procurement, and Sales"”to deliver holistic engineering solutions aligned with broader business objectives.Contribute to new product development and innovation initiatives that advance EdgeCore's competitive edge in the data center space.Your Experience and QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.10+ years of experience in data center operations, engineering, or a closely related field.Strong understanding of North American construction practices and engineering market dynamics.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Demonstrated ability to perform detailed technical assessments and feasibility studies using data-driven methods.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across diverse teams and with external partners.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and other relevant engineering platforms.Combined electrical and mechanical engineering experience with an operational focus.Experience with MEP equipment selection and data center commissioning, including SOPs, SOOs, and MOPs.What We OfferThis is a full-time salaried position, including equity compensation and a performance-based annual bonusThis role requires in-office presence four days per weekWe are open to candidates who live within a reasonable commuting distance to either Mesa, AZ or Denver, CO, or are open to relocating near one of these three locations.Base salary range is $185,000-220,000, depending on experienceMedical, dental & vision insurance coverageHealth & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Savings Account (HSA)160 hours of annual paid time off, plus 11 paid holidays401(k) retirement savings plan with a company contributionCompany-paid life and disability insuranceCompany sponsored employee assistance and discount programs
