Construction Quality Control Manager

Job Title: Quality Control ManagerLocation: MarylandJob Description:A Quality Control Manager is needed to oversee construction quality assurance efforts and ensure all work meets project specifications, codes, and client expectations. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with contract requirements and applicable standards, including EM 385-1-1.CQM Certification Required Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Control PlansConduct daily inspections and prepare detailed quality reportsCoordinate and manage all QC activities, including third-party inspections and testingEnsure subcontractor work aligns with approved submittals and project specsDocument and track deficiencies, non-conformances, and corrective actionsSupport pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and punch list developmentMaintain accurate and up-to-date QC documentation and logsWork closely with project management and field teams to resolve quality issues promptlyEnforce compliance with EM 385-1-1 and applicable building codes and standardsParticipate in project close-out, including preparation of as-builts and O&M manualsQualifications:Minimum 3 years of quality control experience in commercial constructionStrong knowledge of construction methods, specifications, and codesFamiliarity with EM 385-1-1 requirementsExcellent documentation, communication, and organizational skillsProficiency with construction management and QC softwareQC certification or equivalent credentials preferred (e.g., CQM-C, ICC, etc.)Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently in the field
