SummaryThis position is responsible for overseeing sales activities within a defined showroom and managing sales representatives and distributors by performing the following duties. With three showrooms in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Chown Hardware is looking for a Showroom Manager to lead our internal sales force. The ideal candidate for this mid-management position is detail-oriented, has strong interpersonal and organizational skills, enjoys setting and meeting sales goals, and is passionate about developing a successful team. Expertise in Plumbing Fixtures, Door Hardware, or Lighting is highly-preferred.Essential DutiesDirects showroom sales, customer service, and showroom merchandising.Maintains a cohesive team environment between all showrooms and departments.Initiates continued learning and monitors employee performance.Job Duties· Selling and managing customer projects alongside employees.· Managing and organizing employee schedules.· Ensuring company culture is maintained.· Training and developing employees.· Resolving customer issues to their overall satisfaction.· Maintaining an overall management style that ensures that company policies are followed.· Providing leadership and direction to all employees.· Assist preparing and presenting employee reviews.· Working closely with the Regional Manager to lead staff.· Select and implement display updates.· Ensuring a consistent standard of customer service.· Motivating employees to focus on the market growth.· Maintaining visual merchandising standards.· Hires and trains sales representatives and stock distributors in assigned territory.· Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.· Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.· Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.· Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.· Meets with key clients, assists sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.· Analyzes and controls expenditures of the Bellevue showroom.· Works with Outside Sales to establish new accounts in the territory, maintains thorough knowledge of territory, market and clients.· Works toward increasing sales growth in the showroom at an established rate determined by VP of Residential.· Collaborates with Regional Manager to develop sales quotas and strategies.· Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.· Builds and maintains business relationships with clients.QualificationsMinimum three to five years experience in management.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated and goal orientated.Excellent follow through skills.Superior sales experience.Proven ability to manage a team.Minimum three years experience in the decorative plumbing or hardware industry.
