Position Overview:We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to bring fresh energy to our fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you're excited about continuous learning, thrive on technical challenges, and want to make a real difference through your work, we'd love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Lead the charge in reviewing and overseeing structural steel design and connection calculations for a variety of delegated miscellaneous steel components and systems. These include egress stairs, standalone stair towers, access platforms, ladders, railing systems, and their associated connections.Ensure excellence by maintaining strict compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.Inspire and guide junior design engineers through mentorship and technical leadership, helping them grow and succeed.Collaborate creatively with project managers, architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop smart, innovative solutions tailored to each project.Own your projects by managing multiple small-scale assignments from start to finish, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.Qualifications (Skills and Experience)A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).A Professional Engineer (PE) License is required; a Structural Engineer (SE) License is a strong advantage.5+ years of hands-on experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building design or delegated design of miscellaneous steel components and connections across diverse sectors including commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, and residential.Deep knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, AISC, ASCE 7, ACI, and NDS.Familiarity with concrete, masonry, and wood design codes, especially as they relate to steel connections, is a plus.Proficiency (or working knowledge) in tools like RISA 3D, Trimble Connect, Excel, MathCad 15, Mathcad Prime, BlueBeam, and Hilti PROFIS is a bonus.A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and solid organizational skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate and convey technical concepts. Candidate must have experience working in the United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor visas at this time. This position requires relocation to St. Louis, this is non-negotiable.
