Blending medical, behavioral, and lifestyle support into a single plan because restoring life takes more than a prescription.Following an evidence-based bio-psycho-social approach to pain management, our team of medical doctors, psychologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, dietitians, community health workers and massage therapists work together within a revolutionary transdisciplinary model to care for the whole person.We are looking for a compassionate Internist, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation PhysicianAddiction Physician, Family Medicine Physician, or Internal Medicine Physician with an interest in pain management with a bio-psycho-social approach to join our rapidly growing practice in Rancho Mirage, San Jacinto or Victorville, CAJoining our collaborative team, you will be responsible for the medical management of patients as well as for referrals to the transdisciplinary care model which includes Mental Health, Physical Reconditioning and Complementary and Alternative Medicine therapies. This opportunity is perfect for a physician seeking to practice in a multi-disciplinary, holistic model of care. The schedule will be clinic-based, seeing patients and performing procedures. Procedural training (as permitted by the specialty Board) can occur on site.Job Duties:Instructs and counsels patients regarding procedures performed; always promotes wellness and health maintenance.Provides relief from acute or chronic pain through medications, provides nerve blocks, electrical stimulation, or other advanced interventional techniques.Supervises up to four nurse practitioners and physician assistants, ensuring that the team is identifying candidates for interventional procedures.Cares for a medically complex and emotionally challenging patient population that requires empathy and the ability to de-escalate.Performs other duties as assigned, consistent with the above responsibilities.Willing to practice at other Lifekind Health locations if and as requested.Required Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited School of MedicineGraduate of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship programValid board certification as a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic MedicineValid medical license in California.Ability to work both independently and in a team environmentAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment (30+ patients per clinic day and 25+ procedures per procedure day)Excellent medical and procedural skillsPreferred Qualifications:Credential from Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP)Benefits:4 weeks' vacation upon hire, plus holiday paid time offHealth, Dental, Vision Insurance (PPO- 90% paid by employer/50% for dependents)401kEmployee assistance programEmployee discountLife insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth savings accountEqual Opportunity Employer: Lifekind Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
