Wolfberg Alvarez & Partners, a full-service architecture and engineering design firm based in South Florida, is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Miami.Position Overview:Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy-efficient building systemsResponsibilities:Lead and oversee the design of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and sustainable building systems.Prepare and review design and construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates.Provide support throughout construction administration.Ensure compliance with Miami-Dade County and South Florida building codes, permitting requirements, and climate-specific considerationsCollaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers.Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida.Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering design.Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy-efficient systems.Proficiency in preparing design documents, specifications, and cost estimates.Experience in construction administration and field coordination.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Familiarity with South Florida climate conditions, hurricane-resistant design, and local permitting processes preferred.
