Automation Engineer - GCP / Python

OverviewSeeking a skilled Automation Engineer to design and implement automated testing solutions for cloud-based applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires strong programming expertise and experience building scalable automation frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming & Automation: Develop clean, efficient test scripts using Python (and Java) for API and UI testing, including cloud application testing in GCP.Framework Design: Architect and maintain modular, reusable, and scalable automation frameworks; select and integrate appropriate tools for optimal test execution.API/UI Testing: Implement automation using Playwright or Karate, ensuring robust coverage of web services and user interfaces.Messaging & Data: Work with Kafka for event-driven test scenarios and message validation.Test Data Management: Prepare, validate, and maintain test data; perform data integrity checks and analyze results to drive continuous improvement.QualificationsStrong proficiency in Python; Java experience is a plus.Hands-on experience with GCP-based application testingProven track record in automation framework design and test data managementFamiliarity with Kafka, Playwright, or Karate.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a hybrid, collaborative environment.
