Luxury Retail Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager is responsible for operational and organizational standards of the store, while selling and co-managing a team of professional clothiers. This role includes administrative tasks, monitoring inventory levels, developing business strategies to meet monthly sales targets, and supporting the General Manager in leading the sales team.Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfactionMotivate the sales team to meet sales objectivesSelf-source new clients and maintain steady marketing outreach to drive new businessCreate business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitabilitySupport the General Manager in overseeing the sales teamRespond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional mannerEnsure store compliance with health and safety regulationsDevelop and arrange promotional material and in-store displaysMonitor inventory levels and order new items as neededPartner with the General Manager to roll out sales initiatives and new product launchesManage the store schedule on a monthly basisOpening and closing of the retail store which includes but is not limited to, merchandising, store upkeep and cleanliness, cash drawer reconciliation, and upkeep of brand standardsRequirements:An Assistant General Manager should have the following skills, education, and experience:A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a managerial roleStrong leadership and customer management abilitiesHighly driven and motivated individual with a proven track record in salesCustomer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSuperb interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport quickly with both customers and vendorsExperience using computers for a variety of tasksCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and OutlookAble to work comfortably in a fast-paced environmentExperience working in retail, particularly menswear, preferred but not requiredReports to the General Manager of the storeJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
