The ideal candidate will provide exceptional eye care services and contribute to the overall success of our practice.Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive eye examinationsDiagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseasesPrescribe corrective lenses and medications as neededProvide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeriesEducate patients on proper eye care techniquesMaintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulationsCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient careQualifications:Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometryMaryland State licensure to practice optometryStrong knowledge of ocular health, vision disorders, and corrective measuresExperience in conducting pediatric and senior eye examsProficiency in medical coding and electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and satisfactionFamiliarity with aseptic techniques and maintaining a sterile environmentAbility to perform basic optometric procedures such as measuring visual acuity, assessing vital signs, etc.Sales skills to recommend appropriate eyewear or vision aids
