We are seeking a Help Desk Specialist who combines strong technical troubleshooting ability with a professional, customer-focused mindset. This is an opportunity to provide hands-on support across a range of technologies while becoming a key resource in maintaining operational stability and efficiency.Position Overview:The Help Desk Specialist is responsible for delivering responsive, efficient technical support to internal users. This includes diagnosing and resolving a wide range of hardware, software, and network-related issues, contributing to system improvements, and helping lead support team functions. You'll also participate in improving SLA performance and service delivery processes.Key Responsibilities:Technical Support and TroubleshootingRespond to and resolve incoming technical issues related to desktops, laptops, applications, and mobile devicesTroubleshoot system problems independently and escalate as necessary using defined escalation proceduresSupport Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common enterprise toolsIncident Management and SLA OwnershipMaintain full ownership of assigned tickets through resolutionAccurately document solutions and updates in systems like Jira or other ticketing toolsContribute to ticket assignment rotation and team adherence to SLAsTeam Collaboration and Process ImprovementWork cross-functionally with internal IT teams and Cybersecurity to address infrastructure or user-impacting issuesCommunicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders regarding progress, resolution steps, and impactProvide feedback to improve system usability and recommend process enhancementsEnd-User Support and TrainingAssist users with onboarding, application training, and device usageLead support for standard IT deployments such as new software rollouts or policy changesServe as a go-to resource for recurring system or application questionsReporting and DocumentationMaintain accurate records of all support activities and contribute to regular reportingHelp develop knowledgebase documentation and standard support materialsSystem Maintenance and Infrastructure SupportSupport network and desktop preventive maintenance efforts including backups, updates, and antivirus checksPerform cable management, basic LAN/WAN configuration support, and coordinate with vendors or higher-tier techs as neededOther ResponsibilitiesAssist with equipment setup, office moves, and user support for onsite IT needsPerform other support-related tasks as assigned by IT leadershipCandidate Requirements:Experience3 to 4 years of professional Help Desk or IT Support experienceDemonstrated success in a hybrid support role covering software, hardware, network, and user assistanceTechnical ProficiencyKnowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and proxy servicesExperience supporting Microsoft Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and mobile operating systems (Android, iOS, ChromeOS)Familiarity with enterprise applications like Jira, Confluence, Adobe productsHands-on exposure to virtual environments such as VMware Horizon is a plusStrong understanding of desktop security, antivirus, backups, and encrypted systemsProfessional SkillsExcellent communication skills and professionalism in user interactionsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectivelyStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to contribute to a team culture centered on customer service and accountabilityEducationHigh school diploma requiredBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent technical training/certificationsWhy Work With CornerStone Technology Talent Services:We connect IT professionals with the kind of opportunities that align with their skill set, values, and long-term goals.
