Tiitle: BMET I, BMET II, BMET IIILocation: Lubbock TexasThe Senior Biomedical Technician provides repair, scheduled maintenance, and safety testing on medical equipment. Work assigned is advanced in difficulty requiring specialization and advanced training. The Senior Biomedical Technician provides a high level of technical support and training to clinical departments in area of expertise and assume responsibility for their operation. In addition, incumbent will be expected to work closely with clinical departments to assist in development of processes/procedures relative to clinical use of technologies in area of expertise. This position is expected to have the ability to multitask several projects. In addition, must be able to perform tasks outlined in Associate Biomedical Technician & Biomedical Technician.Required Qualifications:Associate's degree Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology OrCoursework/Training Applicable military trainingUpon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role and caregivers will be expected to comply with all state laws. See policy for additional informationPreferred Qualifications:Upon hire: Biomedical Technician certification8 years of experience in repair of biomedical equipmentJob Responsibilities:Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance service, calibration and repair of medical equipment in accordance with departmental standards and manufacturer's operator and technical service manuals.Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interacts effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, staff and the broader health care community.Perform repairs, tests and calibrates medical equipment according to manufacturer's literature and other established guidelines.Performs assigned duties in accordance with current policies and procedures, including equipment inspection, minor repairs and planned maintenance, with minimal supervision.Ability to troubleshoot medical equipment faults and remedy within a given time period with minimal supervision.
