About the RoleWe are seeking a Clinical Director to lead and oversee all clinical operations at a licensed behavioral health outpatient facility offering PHP and IOP levels of care. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based treatment in alignment with regulatory standards and organizational values. The Clinical Director will manage clinical staff, support program development, and serve as a key liaison between leadership and the care team.ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day oversight of clinical and non-clinical functions within the PHP and IOP programsEnsure treatment planning, documentation, and care delivery meet licensing, accreditation, and payer standardsFacilitate interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical supervision, and case reviewsSupport implementation and monitoring of evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing)Monitor client progress and outcomes to ensure effective, client-centered careCollaborate with administrative and medical leadership to ensure continuity of care and program effectivenessRespond to audits, incident reports, and regulatory inquiries as neededEvaluate and refine program policies, procedures, and workflows to improve clinical efficiencyAssist in recruiting, hiring, training, and performance management of clinical staffMaintain appropriate staffing levels to support client admissionsFoster a safe, therapeutic, and ethical environment for both staff and clientsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications-Education:Master's or Doctorate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related fieldLicensure:Active clinical license in Virginia (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD)Supervisory credential preferredExperience:Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in mental health or substance use treatmentAt least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a behavioral health or PHP settingFamiliarity with ASAM criteria, DSM-5, trauma-informed care, and integrated co-occurring treatmentSkills:Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilitiesAbility to manage clinical teams and adapt in a dynamic environmentKnowledge of HIPAA, Joint Commission, and relevant regulatory frameworksProficiency with EMR systems and documentation complianceBenefitsPaid Time Off401(k) Retirement PlanMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
