Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and/or highway infrastructure projects, with the ability to prepare accurate cost estimates, analyze project plans, and support bidding efforts. This role is critical to ensuring competitive and profitable proposals.Key Responsibilities:Review project drawings, specifications, and scope documents.Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.Analyze risks and recommend cost-saving alternatives.Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools.Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.Support change order pricing and project budgeting during construction.Qualifications:Proven experience as an estimator in commercial construction and/or highway projects.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, HCSS, PlanSwift).Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
