Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for inventory management, and the ability to foster a positive work environment. As a Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the store's success and enhancing the customer experience. Responsibilities Manage Daily OperationsEnsure efficiency and productivity in all aspects of store operations. Inventory Management: Oversee ordering, receiving, and stocking products, including sorting and cleaning bulk LEGO. Inventory Control: Implement effective measures to minimize loss and optimize stock levels. Shift ManagementSchedule staff effectively and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours. Employee DevelopmentConduct orientation and training programs to enhance team performance. Recruitment: Facilitate interviewing processes for new hires and participate in selecting qualified candidates. Payroll Oversight: Monitor payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Customer ServiceProvide exceptional service by greeting and assisting customers in person and on the phone (requires a lot of standing), addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly. Sales AnalysisAnalyze sales reports to identify trends and develop strategies for improvement. Store PresentationMaintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including organizing and stocking products (requires lifting up to 50 pounds). Event HostingHost in-store party events for kids and adults. Team CollaborationSupport management with creative ideas and share customer feedback. Product HandlingUse the point-of-sale system to complete transactions and build and repair used LEGO sets. Cleaning DutiesShare in cleaning responsibilities (e.g., vacuuming, dusting, cleaning counters). Qualifications ExperienceProven experience in retail management or a similar role is required. Inventory SkillsStrong skills in inventory management and control are essential. Leadership AbilitiesExperience with shift management practices and the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively. Customer Service SkillsExcellent customer service skills with a desire to drive sales. CommunicationBilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with diverse customers.Administrative KnowledgeFamiliarity with payroll processes and employee management is beneficial. Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to buy and sell effectively within a retail context is an advantage. Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working with kids or in a family-focused store. At least one year of retail or customer service experience. Knowledge of LEGO products.
