Estimator/Project Manager

Metal Pros is a metal fabricator specializing in overhead sign structures, railings, misc. metals, and other metal products for infrastructure. The company is growing and seeking a key individual to expand the team as an estimator and project manager. This individual will interact daily with all facets of the company, as well as customers and suppliers, guaranteeing that no two days on the job are alike. This individual will also be involved with critical business decisions and have ample opportunity to grow within the company. Metal Pros boasts a laid back and flexible work environment, competitive salary and benefits, and the opportunity to feel a great sense of pride in your work.Duties of the Job:Prepare misc. metals quotes for commercial, industrial, and highway construction projectsFacilitate discussions with customers to fully understand their job scope needsEstimate all aspects of the job cost in an accurate and timely mannerNegotiate contracts with customers & vendorsContinuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the estimating processProvide input towards the development of new manufacturing capabilities or value-added servicesParticipate in discussions on which new projects fit our manufacturing capabilitiesCoordinate all project activities for jobs awardedWhere required, timely and accurate data entry into applicable shared databasesWork with detailing, production, & shipping/receiving departments throughout the projectProcurement of all raw material purchased parts and outside processing servicesUse cost, quality, and delivery data to identify preferred suppliers for raw materials and partsAggressive follow-up on all late parts being supplied or handled by outside suppliersProactive customer communication on all job-related issues including but not limited to verifying delivery date(s), production schedule changes, work change orders, and field issuesRequirements:2+ years of construction estimating and/or project management experienceBasic knowledge of metal shapes and weldingAbility to read and understand blueprints and project specificationsIntense attention to detailStrong personal drive to succeed under tight deadlinesExemplary communication, organization, and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelConstruction management, engineering, or similar degree (preferredSalary:?$70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearSalary commensurate with experienceAdditional annual performance bonusBenefits:Paid vacation & holidays401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insuranceSchedule:8-hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:Construction Estimating/Project Management: 2 years (Preferred)
