Vice President of Finance And Operations

One of the largest health systems in the US is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Financial Operations to lead financial strategy and operations at a flagship facility undergoing major transformation. This role is pivotal in shaping the financial future of a $500M expansion opening in two months, and will serve as the financial face of the hospital.The VP will report directly to the COO & SVP of Finance for Medical Group and Physician Strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesLead financial operations across a complex healthcare environment including hospitals, homecare/hospice, nursing, and medical groupsDrive budgeting and forecasting for FY2026 and beyondPartner with clinical and operational leaders including nursing, ED, and specialty programs (thoracic, interventional cardiology, vascular)Provide strategic financial leadership for a newly constructed wing and high-acuity service linesServe as a visible leader and trusted advisor to senior leadershipBe physically present at the hospital at least 4 days per week to ensure deep operational engagementMentor and guide overwhelmed financial managers currently navigating budget developmentQualificationsProven experience in hospital finance, ideally as a CFO or EVP ready for a next-step roleStrong operational acumen and ability to "get hands dirty" in day-to-day hospital functionsAbility to manage complex budgets and lead through change, including restructuring initiativesExceptional communication skills and comfort engaging with senior leadershipExperience in high-volume, high-complexity facilities preferredWhat Makes This Role UniqueHigh visibility across the organizationStrategic influence over a major investment and expansionThis role is seeking a leader, not a follower.
