Medical Assistant

Cross Timbers ENT is looking for Experienced Certified Medical Assistants who will have a vital role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical settings. Our CMA's travel to Arlington, Mansfield and Midlothian with the providers.Job Duties:Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations.Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.Assist Physician with surgical procedures, examinations and treatmentsTakes patient vitals signs, medical history and collecting specimensCleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.Set up instruments and equipment according to protocolsProperly disposes of contaminated supplies.Utilize medical coding knowledge to accurately assign codes for billing purposesAssist with patient education of procedures, medications and post treatment careScreen incoming calls for referral to physicians and practitionersAnswer and provide feedback to patient, physician, pharmacy, or pertinent vendorsSchedule, coordinate and monitor patient appointmentsUnderstand and adhere to office policies and proceduresMaintain inventory of supplies and equipment as necessaryCommunicate effectively and works well with other team membersSend and receive patient medical recordsObtaining lab imaging reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.Comfortable with BLS techniquesQualifications:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification Required2 years of CMA experienceBLS through the American Heart Association RequredENT Experience is a PlusProficient in medical terminologyMedical Software experienceKnowledge of Microsoft productsExperience in patient care and medical supportKnowledge of medication administration protocolsFamiliarity with electronic medical health record systemsStrong communication skills with the ability to empathize with patientsBenefits:MedicalDentalVisionLife InsuranceHealth Savings AccountHealth Reimbursement Account401(k)401(k) matchingHoliday PayPTOMonday - Friday - 7:30 am - 4:30 pmLocations - Arlington - Mansfield - Midlothian MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVELWe offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
