This is a hands-on, strategic role focused on risk mitigation, contract negotiation, and legal oversight across energy and transportation infrastructure projects. The position is on-site, with the option for two remote days per week after three months.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and mitigate contract risks during negotiations.Draft and advise on claims strategy and contract execution.Support compliance and risk mitigation initiatives.Advise operational teams on legal issues during project execution.Contribute to pre-bid planning and risk strategy.Manage litigation and outside counsel as needed.Provide training and guidance across the organization.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) requiredLicensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing.2-4 years of legal experience in a firm or corporate setting.Strong background in contract negotiation, claims strategy, and risk mitigation.Construction industry experience requiredExcellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
