We strongly encourage you to apply today!Prerequisites:BaM.S. degree (M.S.) in Medical Physics or a physics-related disciplineABR Diagnostic Medical Physics or ABMP (Medical Health Physics) board certificationCandidates who have passed part II of the ABR Diagnostic Medical Physics or ABMP exam are also encouraged to applySolid foundation in radiation physics, radiation biology, electronics, and other areas relevant to equipment quality assurance testingAt least 3 years of documented experience in the diagnostic imaging/clinical environmentMust meet current ACR requirements for the performance of accreditation-related testing of MRI and CT unitsMQSA approved (preferred)High-level interpersonal skills, the ability to make presentations to large groups, and the capability to work independently and exhibit intellectual flexibilityEffective written and oral communication skills, including professional, courteous, and convincing or persuasive in discussions with clients, regulators, and colleaguesStrong technical proficiency, the ability to manage multiple complex assignments concurrently and to completion, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional client serviceExcellent time management and organizational skillsA working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and excellent general computer skills. These testing activities will involve MRI, CT, X-ray, mammography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. In addition, some nuclear medicine consulting and licensing activities will be performedProvide ACR MRI, CT, NM/PET, US, and mammography accreditation services and data review to customers within the state of New York and surrounding statesOccasionally speak at seminars, trade shows, and represent WEST PHYSICS' vendor booth at such events to bring in new business and enhance the company's reputation.
