Utilities Control Room OperatorLocation: North Chicago, IL - Onsite Contract: 6+ months contract duration with the potential to go from contract to hire for the right candidate Shift: 3rd Shift full-time, 7PM - 7AM, 4 days, Automated Systems, Inc. is looking for a Utilities Control Room Operator for a 6+ month contract with a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing client in North Chicago, IL. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth operations by monitoring critical utility infrastructure and overseeing plant utilities, including water, steam, compressed air, liquid nitrogen, electrical power, and HVAC systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment and wants to make a tangible impact on pharmaceutical production.Job Responsibilities:Monitor equipment for performance and alarm conditionsTroubleshoot problems with utilities and partner with maintenance staff to resolve issuesOperate and participate in startup, maintenance, and shutdown of utility equipmentPerform all necessary quality checksComplete required documentation in a timely and accurate mannerParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceEducation and Experience Requirements:Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, preferred education - technical diploma, associate degree, or military training Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment preferredMechanical/technical experience in manufacturing or related fields preferredExperience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated industries.Military experience a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and wearing PPECapable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing/walking for extended periods
