Safety Coordinator

Job descriptionResponsibilities:Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsConduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actionsInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for preventionPrepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident rates, trends, and recommendations for improvementCollaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountabilityProvide training and education on safety topics, including hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipmentStay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safetySafety Coordinator needs experience in dredging, concrete work, demolition, blasting, and excavationsExperience in building structures and similar projects upwards of $40 millionQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field7+ years of experience requiredOSHA 30 requiredProven experience in safety management or a similar roleKnowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulationsStrong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysisExcellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presenting findingsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teamsThis is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Safety Coordinator to make a significant impact on the overall safety culture of our organization.
