Commercial Estimator Join a Dynamic Construction Team in Camas, WAWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to support our Camas office. This is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated professional to contribute to a variety of construction projects, ranging from tenant improvements to ground-up buildings with associated site work. Typical project volume offers consistent opportunities for professional development within a supportive and stable team.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare complete quantity take-offs, ensuring all items in assigned scopes are priced accurately.Perform analytical reviews to identify design and constructability issues.Develop and define accurate, concise estimates with necessary clarifications and assumptions.Create conceptual estimates with minimal information or narrative.Participate in project walk-throughs and pre-bid meetings as needed.Communicate with architects, owners, and consultants to clarify scope of work.Coordinate and provide information to subcontractors and suppliers.Analyze subcontractor proposals for completeness of required scope.Maintain current knowledge of the latest estimating technology and techniques.Supply value engineering recommendations when required.Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and subcontractors.Work on estimates for a variety of markets, including retail, office, multifamily, medical, and education.All responsibilities should be carried out with a high level of accuracy and professionalism, meeting critical deadlines in high-pressure situations.Required and Preferred QualificationsSeveral years of hands-on experience in commercial estimating across a variety of construction types.Proven track record of producing accurate conceptual estimates independently.Working knowledge of commercial building elements and ability to read blueprints and specifications.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.Strong skills in BlueBeam and On-Screen Take-Off (required); SmartBid, CAD, and Revit (preferred).Ability to communicate clearly and present information to project teams, clients, architects, and consultants.Professional and personable demeanor; takes personal responsibility for issues that arise.Candidates must be comfortable handling multiple estimates simultaneously and demonstrating basic conceptual estimating skills through data interpretation.Salary and BonusCompensation: $80,000-$120,000 annually, dependent on experience (DOE).Competitive salary is complemented by performance-based bonus opportunities.Benefits PackageComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid vacation and holidays (All employees accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at a rate of 1 hour per 40 hours worked. At the end of each calendar year any unused accrued PSSL hours will be carried over to the next year. The Company provides Regular full time salaried and office employees with two (2) weeks of vacation (10 working days) starting at the first day of employment. Accrual begins on the first day of employment, after one full year of service and on subsequent anniversary dates following a full year of service.
