We strive to be an excellent strategic partner for clients, providing solutions and adding value to their businesses.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Regional Manager has direct oversite of one or more areas within the same region. The Regional Manager has financial responsibility for assigned region's company goals and objectives, to include meeting revenue and profitability goals. This position will lead, hire, train and mentor a local team of professionals to execute jobs correctly and accurately and meet company objectives.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESThorough knowledge and understanding of the Electrical Industry, and ability to oversee and prepare bids/pricing in collaboration with the estimating group and managersResponsible for Area P&L within predetermined company parameters; oversight of financial forecasting, costs to complete and WIP reviewsResponsible for all operations activities within the region, which may include obtaining and maintaining electrical licensing.Responsible for growing revenue opportunities and building sales pipeline, either directly or through the team; Partner with business development to maximize sales opportunities and execute sales strategy within the region.Ensure all operating costs are being monitored closely and maintained within budget as compared to revenue.Ensure billing and project close out process if completed in an accurate and timely mannerResponsible for developing and growing the management, supervision, and skilled workforce within the region.Maintain, monitor, and look for continuous improvement in all aspects of safety, quality, customer service, and productivity.Focus on core employee retention and reducing turnover by maintaining a high level of employee engagement.Work closely with the HR department to ensure all employee issues and concerns are handled effectively.Coordinate with all corporate departments and Business units to ensure all company policies & procedures are being followed.Oversee maintenance of vehicles and equipment in conjunction with Maintenance Dept.Responsible for regional asset management.Consult and make recommendations on operational challengesEnsure strict health and safety guidelinesCreate regional management progress reports for key stakeholdersActively visit jobsitesConduct Site Safety and QC AuditsLEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and implement departmental strategies aligned with organizational objectives.Report on departmental performance and strategic initiatives to senior managementOversee operations, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.Supervise supervisors and team leads, ensuring alignment with company goals.Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.Provide feedback regarding staffing needs and levelsInvolved in the feedback and decision-making process for selection and hiring process of new team membersInvolved in the feedback and decision making process resulting in formal disciplinary action (including termination) when necessaryReview and approve hours and timecards for direct reports weekly or by deadlines for accuracyDevelop employees for career growth and bench strengthMonitor individual and team performance, offering constructive feedback.Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities.Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns promptly.Report on team performance and operational issues to upper management.Ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresFoster a collaborative and positive team environment.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Must have a strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and possess knowledge of such electrical contracting needs as MCC, high voltage, underground service and general equipment knowledge.Must have knowledge and experience with business development and generating new business.Experience managing a P&L, forecasting and cost managementExperience leading a teamAbility to manage compliance issues (OSHA, MSHA, First Aid/CPR, PPE, random drug/alcohol screens, etc.).Ability to read and comprehend requests for bid/quote, work orders, electrical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to communicate with others at all levels of the organization and to assimilate and understand information in a manner consistent with essential job functions.Ability to professionally communicate with the customer and the public.EQUIPMENT & APPLICATIONS /WORKING CONDITIONSPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Sitting for Extended Periods - Spending long hours at a desk working on a computer, reviewing plans, or handling paperwork.Typing and Computer Use - Engaging in frequent keyboard and mouse use for emails, reports, scheduling, and documentation.Reading and Reviewing Documents - Handling blueprints, contracts, and reports, which may require prolonged focus and visual strain.Occasional Lifting and Carrying - Moving documents, plans, or office supplies, typically up to 10-25 lbs.Repetitive Hand and Finger Movements - Writing, typing, and using office equipment such as printers and phones.Walking and Standing - Moving between office spaces, attending meetings, and sometimes walking through job sites.Driving or Traveling - Visiting job sites or attending off-site meetings as necessary.Wearing PPE as Needed - Donning safety gear (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, boots) when visiting active construction sites
