Job Description: Maintenance Technician (Certified Electrician - Texas)Location: Grand Prairie, TXEmployment Type: Full-TimeReports To: Plant Manager Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician with current state certification as a Licensed Electrician in Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical equipment within our facility. This role is essential for ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations across all departments.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical WorkInstall, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and control systems in compliance with state and local codes.Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostics on equipment and systems.Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components for safety and functionality.General MaintenancePerform preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing, conveyors, and mechanical infrastructure.Assist with machine setup and modifications for production needs.Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely repairs to minimize downtime.Safety & ComplianceFollow all OSHA, NFPA, and internal safety guidelines.Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation.Participate in facility inspections and audits, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.Team SupportCollaborate with engineers, production staff, and other technicians to support ongoing operations.Provide training or guidance to junior maintenance team members as needed.Required QualificationsState of Texas Licensed Electrician - Journeyman or higher (must provide documentation).Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial or facilities maintenance.Strong understanding of electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices.Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in various environmental conditions, and respond to maintenance calls during off-hours (as needed).Preferred QualificationsExperience in a manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse setting.Familiarity with PLC systems, motor controls, and energy-efficient technologies.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive hourly wage or salary based on experience.Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO), holidays, and potential for overtime.
