Employees are valued contributors to the company's long-term success and growth in the aerospace industry.Job Summary:The Machine Parts Inspector plays a key role in ensuring the quality of production operations and finished parts. This position involves performing visual and dimensional inspections, documenting results, approving parts that meet specifications, and supporting overall quality throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in aerospace and manufacturing with strong knowledge of inspection techniques and machining processes.Key Responsibilities:Conducts visual and dimensional tests to ensure quality of finished productsDetermines and uses appropriate inspection processes to confirm assigned products and parts meet specificationsConfirms and approves quality of finished partsDetermines whether parts not meeting specifications can be salvagedDocuments measured results of machining operationsPrepares paperwork and reports documenting inspection findingsPerforms other related duties as assignedQualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentExtensive knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipmentExtensive knowledge of machining and machining processesAbility to read blueprintsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Excel or similar software to prepare reportsAbility to sit for prolonged periods working on a computerAbility to traverse the production facility to conduct inspectionsAbility to lift up to 15 poundsPreferred:3+ years of experience as a quality control inspector5+ years of experience in aerospace and manufacturingAdditional Information:The company operates as an AS9100D-certified manufacturer and requires all employees to comply with quality standards and clauses specific to their departmental responsibilities.
