Its main activities are the sales, marketing and oversight of client services delivery that is undertaken by other The DDC Group Companies across the World.Role OverviewAs the Head of Finance, Americas, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the corporate governance and overall financial activities in the US. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the governance, financial health and stability of the organization by developing and implementing governance and financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's goals and objectives. This role fosters a positive and inclusive work culture, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving financial performance and development along with good corporate responsibility.Certain elements of this role are fixed in timing (ex: monthly management accounts) others offer more flexibility on timing and delivery and therefore this role could be adapted to suit a part time/flexible working arrangement to the relevant candidate.The Financial oversight governs the key aspects of the operation of the US sales marketing and strategy teams along with associated US support teams.The core responsibility of the role is focused on US activities. From time to time the role may also require involvement in wider Group Projects as determined by the Group Finance department.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of accounts Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management into the Group Finance FunctionEnsure the accuracy and integrity of the accounting records and financial systemsProduction of statutory accounts for the US companyPlay a full part in providing relevant & timely financial information to the Group Finance team to enable a balanced and objective assessment of the Group's strategy and objectives.Budgets and forecasts For the US division: Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans and continued monitoring & review of performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances to Senior Management and other stakeholdersFinancial management & controls Effectively manage the working capital and overhead components of the US operations with specific attention to creditor, debtors and cash balancesOverseeing monthly processing of payroll and payments to employeesReview and manage the internal financial control environment for the US operations, including playing an active role in risk assessment processes and embedding a risk management culture throughout the organizationTaxation Support the Group CFO in the development and execution of the Group's taxation strategyEnsure returns for local and federal and other relevant taxes are submitted, payments made on time and all relevant regulations are complied withRegulatory Reporting Co-ordinate production of any US regulatory and statutory reporting that relates to the financial and corporate information of the CompanyGeneralManage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, and other parties as directed by the Group CFO or the SVP Group Finance. Keep key stakeholders up to date on progress against key milestones.Professional Development & Other Duties Regularly meet and discuss with your line manager to continuously improve your own performance and support your personal development.You may be required to carry out additional duties within your capability to meet the needs of the business.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of DDC's Values & Culture and collaborate with the team to ensure that everyone embodies these. Proactively encourage and uphold these ideals and objectives while fostering an environment that aligns with these values.Governance, Compliance and Risk ManagementResponsible for working with the Corporate Office to identify, create and maintain any processes and policies associated with the role and area of business.This will include certain instances where you become the nominated company representative on behalf of the US company with relevant local, state and federal bodies (including taxation) and other company requirements including 401k activities.Ensure that the organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This includes compliance with and identification of industry standards and regulatory requirements pertinent to the area in which you work.Ensure that the companies risk control mechanisms are adhered to, and that risk is identified, assessed, treated and brought to the attention of the wider management team as appropriate.Performance and ReportingAs the Head of Finance, Americas you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, analysis, and distribution of various reports to support business operations and decision-making processes.Mandatory SkillsStrong skills in specific financial-related areasExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProven target-driven approachKey BehaviorsWillingness and ability to travel nationally and overseas as requiredProven track record of successfully working in a remote roleQualifications and ExperienceBachelor's or master's Degree or similar work experience within a working role.Appropriate professional accounting qualifications (CPA / Chartered Accountant)Similar industry and/or BPO business knowledge an advantageA working knowledge of both federal and state tax requirements typical for a BPO/Service company is an advantageOur ValuesInnovation: Innovation drives transformation - inside and out.
