(Licensed Clinician)Location: Milwaukee, WISocial ServicesLa Causa Social Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinician to join our Crisis Response Team, providing overnight community-based assessments and interventions for youth and adults experiencing mental health or AODA crises. You will use your clinical expertise to make recommendations about Emergency Detention holds and connect individuals and families with needed resources.What You'll Do:Conduct psychosocial assessments of youth and adults to evaluate risk and determine dangerousness to self or othersintervene in acute mental health or AODA crises within the community, including situations involving police presenceDe-escalate, stabilize, and resolve mental health crises while ensuring safetyMake recommendations regarding Chapter 51 Emergency Detention holds based on assessmentsCollaborate with Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Services, hospitals, law enforcement, CART teams, and other community partnersProvide education to families and community stakeholders on crisis management and mental health servicesComplete thorough, detailed documentation of all assessments, interventions, and recommendationsEnsure compliance with all organizational, legal, and contractual requirementsAttend meetings, training, and professional development activities as directedFulfill mandated reporting duties related to child and adult safetySupport the team by taking on additional responsibilities as assignedWhat We're Looking For:Master's degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field requiredValid Wisconsin licensure as LPC, LCSW, LMFT (APSW, LPC-IT, or LMFT-IT considered with experience)Active professional liability insurance policy ($1,000,000 per claim / $1,000,000 aggregate)Availability to work 3rd shift (12:00 AM - 7:30 AM) for mobile crisis responseStrong cultural competency and ability to work respectfully with diverse individuals and familiesExcellent crisis management, organizational, and critical-thinking skillsStrong communication skills"”verbal, written, and interpersonalKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteBilingual (Spanish/English) highly desirableReliable transportation, valid Wisconsin driver's license, and state-minimum auto insurance (must meet La Causa driving standards)Must successfully pass all required background checks, TB test, physical, and vaccination requirementsDay-to-Day Setting: This position involves community-based mobile crisis response, requiring frequent travel throughout Milwaukee, as well as office-based documentation. Flexible hours are required to meet program needs.
