Responsibilities The purpose of the supervisory position is to lead a subset of the Sentry team and to accomplish subteam objectives while contributing to the larger team outcomes. Responsibilities Professional Comprehend and instruct applicable industry safety regulations and design standards Perform classroom and hands-on instruction, and facilitate online learning as required Develop and expand training market for equipment arena as required Effectively engage in team projects as co-contributor or team leader Analyze and solve problems independently with minimal supervision Prepare and deliver safety presentations to a wide range of audiences Serve as a positive example of Altec's "Safety in Everything We Do" at all times Other duties as assigned Supervisory Supervise assigned Sentry Trainers Conduct lead-in and continuing skills development sessions with assigned trainers Mentor and develop assigned trainers into more capable Team Altec assets Assign tasks and coordinate schedules as required to meet training demand Technical Actively contribute to Altec product development process Develop and maintain proficiency operating Altec equipment, including aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and other units as required Apply a working knowledge of learning management system administration Complete requirements for and administer equipment certification as required Instructional Design and Review Develop training course content using standard instructional design guidelines Review, evaluate and modify current/future course content as needed Review or create operator safety guidelines, manuals and instructional material Ensure courses are revised to reflect changes in applicable regulations or standards Minimum qualifications Bachelor's Degree required Three to five years experience in a technical training/instructional capacity desired Accredited training environment experience highly desired Industrial or other safety training experience highly desired Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Valid U.S. State-issued Driver's License required Must be eligible for U.S. Passport within 60 days of hire Mechanical aptitude, product or industry knowledge required NCCCO or EICA crane certification highly desired Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to safely board machinery using ladders or steps Working in elevated equipment at heights over 100 feet is required Significant amount of outdoor, physical activity is required Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, required Experience with learning management systems highly desired Must be able to travel (50 - 60%), including occasional weekends Spanish language fluency is preferred Experience Level Adjustmnt Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
