Job DescriptionLocation: Lawrence, Massachusetts is a historic, diverse city located about 25 miles north of Boston along the Merrimack River.Facility:A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), meaning it provides comprehensive healthcare to all, regardless of ability to pay or insurance status, with sliding-fee scales available.Services span all ages—prenatal care, obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics, internal medicine, gynecology, chronic disease management, nutrition counseling, and health educationOpportunity:Position Summary: Provides comprehensive and continuing care to patients requiring routine and emergency medical treatment at community health centers, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, private homes, shelters, and other facilities serving older adults.Oversees and provides direct medical care to patients.Demonstrates clinical competence and professional commitment in the practice of family medicine or internal medicine and the care of older adults by adhering to established standards of practice and utilizing appropriate scientific principles.Refer patients to other clinicians or other healthcare professionals as appropriate.Maintains appropriate medical records on assigned patients.Participates in patient care audits for quality assurance and utilization review to maintain and improve patient care standard of excellence.Education Qualifications: Board certification in family medicine (ABFM) or internal medicine (ABIM).Completion of an ACGME accredited geriatrics fellowship.Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Geriatrics.Current unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts.Eligibility to care for Medicare and Medicaid patients. Experience: At least 1 year of clinical attending experience caring for older adults or completion of an ACGME accredited geriatrics fellowship.Compensation:To be discussed at interviewBenefits available
