The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of municipal law, regulations, and procedures, and will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice and support to municipal officials and departments on various issues related to municipal law.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the interests of the municipality.Advise on zoning matters and assist in the development and enforcement of zoning ordinances.Assist in the preparation and review of resolutions and ordinances for municipal meetings.Represent the municipality in public hearings and other legal proceedings related to municipal law.Conduct research and stay updated on legal developments in municipal law and related areas.Facilitate public meetings and ensure compliance with open meetings laws and regulations.Collaborate with other legal and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with applicable laws.QualificationsBarred in NJ3+ years of experience in municipal law or a related field.Strong knowledge of contracts, zoning, and regulatory compliance issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to handle public meetings and hearings effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
