Structural Designer - Corrugated

Job DescriptionDUTIES:/n/nResponsible for problem solving, developing, sampling, and testing packaging to meet customer needs utilizing supplied software, equipment, and materials./nLearn to design point-of-purchase, protective, E-commerce, signage or multi material solutions./nWork closely with Sales to collect and process information to meet customer projects./nTravels to customers as needed for project completion and to help build customer relations./nMaintain detailed specifications, and documentation./nLearn and remain competent in the capabilities and limitations of our manufacturing equipment./nLearn and utilize Retail guidelines (Walmart, Aldi, Home Depot, etc)/nLearn and stay current with testing protocols such as Hazmat, ISTA, Amazon, Club Stores./nManages individual workload of assigned projects using project management software./nTimely completion of projects to satisfy internal and external clients./nSupport Customer Service and Manufacturing in processing new item orders to ensure all new items meet expectations./nLearn manufacturing capabilities to effectively route designs with collaboration from production./nKeep work Areas clean and organized for safety and aesthetic purposes./nComplies with Green Bay Packaging – WI Sheet Plants policies and procedures./nAddition responsibilities assigned by management/n/nQUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION/n/nExcellent oral and written communication skills./nMaintain effective working relationships with all staff and partners./nAbility to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals./nAbility to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required./nKnowledge of GBP product and processes./n/nFour-year degree in Packaging or similar engineering program, previous Design or Engineering experience in corrugated preferred./n/n/nPrior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred. /n/n/nFamiliar with Artios CAD or similar software preferred./n/n/nFamiliar with Tops or CAPE Palletizing Software preferred. /n/nEqual Opportunity Employer /nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws. /nFor further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor.
