The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shop floor by maintaining, repairing, and assembling downhole tools. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong understanding of engineering principles and a proven track record in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a shop technician role, with a focus on downhole tools. Assemble downhole tools according to specifications, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and secured. Operate breakout and lifting equipment safely and efficiently. Handle materials using a forklift, ensuring all goods are correctly stored and easily accessible. Monitor the condition of all shop equipment and machinery, scheduling routine maintenance and repairs as necessary. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise. Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced team members. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work for future reference.Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Shop Technician, preferably in the Engineering industry. Proven experience with downhole tools, assembly, repairs, and maintenance. Proficient in operating breakout and lifting equipment. Valid forklift license and experience in material handling. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a relevant field is a plus.
