The successful candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive and accurate mechanical estimates for our HVAC projects.Why join us?Strong Compensation PackageExcellent BenefitsCareer GrowthJob DetailsResponsibilities: Prepare detailed mechanical estimates for HVAC projects based on design documents, specifications, and other information to create a detailed cost analysis. Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions. Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures. Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical estimating, particularly in HVAC, piping, and plumbing. Proficient in estimating software and spreadsheet software. Strong understanding of mechanical concepts and principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Strong attention to detail with an ability to focus on critical elements and, at the same time, remain mindful of the big picture. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
