The ideal candidate has experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, as well as public accounting and SEC experience.This position is remote with the exception of 1 onsite visit per month in NYCResponsibilities: Overseeing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Collaborating with the management team to understand and execute the organization's financial goals. Managing the preparation of SEC filings and oversight of all financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and other financial regulations. Leading and coordinating the annual audit process with external auditors.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA certification is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a large national accounting firm. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. High proficiency in SEC reporting is required. Strong knowledge of GAAP Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.Interested in hearing more?
