In this role, you will play a key part in managing our volunteer program, ensuring that our initiatives run smoothly and effectively. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, be proficient with databases and computer systems, and enjoy working with diverse groups of people. This position is part-time and will require approximately 20-25 hours per week.Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:Volunteer Scheduling: Coordinate volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage for events, programs, and community outreach efforts.Database Management: Maintain and update our volunteer database, ensuring accurate records of volunteer profiles, availability, and hours contributed.Volunteer Engagement: Communicate with current and prospective volunteers via phone, email, and in-person interactions to provide information, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience.Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in recruiting new volunteers and guide them through the onboarding process, including training and orientation.Program Support: Collaborate with staff to identify volunteer needs for specific programs and events.Tracking and Reporting: Monitor volunteer participation and provide regular reports on volunteer activities and program impact.Community Building: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all volunteers.Qualifications:Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and tasks.Proficiency in using computer systems, including databases, email platforms, and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.Excellent communication skills, including making phone calls and writing emails professionally.Experience in volunteer coordination or a similar role is preferred.A positive attitude and a passion for working with diverse groups of people.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Interested in hearing more?
