Stable and renown business over 100 years old Great benefits and long term career in Manufacturing Matching 401K (7% match) 5-10% bonus Medical Dental VisionJob DetailsMajor activities/Key challenges:Leads a team of Buyer/Planners, Specialists, Strategic Sourcing & Estimating functionsWorks in close conjunction and alignment with Capital and Category ProcurementShares savings targets with Category Management on Plant-specific spends i.e. Performance areas: Cost Savings (SRT), Supplier performance, challenging of material & service specifications (demand management), procurement organizational efficiency.Monitors and controls plant procurement target achievement and initiates counter measures if necessaryCommunicates supplier issues to BU Procurement Director and Category ManagementParticipates in supplier meetings jointly with Category colleagues if relevant for the PlantConducting Bidding of Capital Projects and Site ServicesBasic Qualifications Bachelor"s degree or higher from an accredited Institution. (Engineering, finance, business, or supply chain preferred) 5-10 years previous work experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management. Preferred Qualifications Professional Certification - Certified Purchasing Manager (CPIM, CPM or CSCP) is preferred. JD Edwards or Oracle Experience Demonstrated flexibility over multiple categories and suppliers Communication and negotiation skillsProject Management, able to manage resources and timelinesInterested in hearing more?
