Checking, maintaining, and troubleshooting household appliances to ensure they are in proper working order. Mowing the lawn, trimming bushes, weeding, and general maintenance of outdoor spaces. Assisting with general cleaning tasks, organizing spaces, and decluttering. Undertaking light carpentry projects, such as assembling furniture or installing shelves. Addressing specific maintenance tasks based on the season, such as gutter cleaning in the fall or checking air conditioning systems in the summer. Ensuring that home security measures are in place and functioning correctly, such as checking locks and alarms. Responding to urgent or emergency repair needs promptly. Offering specialized assistance for seniors who may need help with tasks related to aging in place, accessibility modifications, and safety adaptations. Requirements Proficiency in basic repair and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and appliance repair. Basic understanding of home systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, to effectively carry out maintenance tasks. Previous experience in performing home maintenance tasks, either professionally or as a skilled homeowner. Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in home maintenance and repair.
