Description:The Owner Operator/Independent Contractor will operate their own vehicle equipped to provide nonemergency transport of mobility- impaired individuals and/or children by offering safe custom transportation to medical appointments or school transportation.Owner/Operators are a critical part of our company, so it is vital that the people on our team are a good fit with our commitments and shared values. If you love making a difference in other folk's lives, take joy in helping someone who needs you, and like learning new skills that allow you to help others, then please apply.Responsibilities:Pre-trip inspection of the vehicle at the beginning of your shift for safetyOperate the vehicle within the limits of all laws and obey all traffic signs/signalsArrive on time to all scheduled stopsCommunicate with Dispatch regularly throughout your shiftAssure each passenger is properly secured with lap, shoulder belts and tie downsMonitor passenger activity periodically while taking care not to become distractedMaintain proper licenses and training as mandated by managementAlert Site Supervisor of any problems so we can helpMaintain flexibility as situations can and will change frequentlyRequirements:Required Skills/AbilitiesMust be 25 years of age or olderAble to communicate effectively verbally and in writingMust own a 4-door family sedan, SUV, or VanVehicle used must pass a company and vendor required inspectionMust possess a valid Missouri Class E or above licenseNo driver license suspension/revocation for moving violations within the last 3 yearsNo more than 2 moving traffic violations within the last 3 yearsNo felonies on criminal record within the last 7 yearsAbility to understand and enforce DOT rules and regulationsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.Must successfully pass a DOT physical, drug test, and FBI criminal background checkCompensation:Average payout of $700 - $1000 per weekPI58da0b4ddd88-8095
