Quality Engineer

Role: Quality EngineerLocation: East Tawas MI (Onsite)Duration: Full Time PermMUST HAVE:Experience working with tier 1 organizations who provides support to OEMs.The Quality Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling the role of manufacturing and quality expert; this is a hands-on position with customer interaction. Works closely with customers and other departments during process development and APQP for new products. Ensure the quality of the parts produced meets all customer expectations. Quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found. Maintain and improve quality management system to comply with established standards. Other duties includes:Initiate and maintain customer interface and supportCreate/Update all APQP documents including FMEA, Control Plans and Flow Diagrams.Follow AIAG APQP procedures and Customer-specific requirementsPPAP submissionsContinuous improvement of plant scrap, process capability, and quality cost activitiesResponsible for addressing customer concerns through corrective action activities, action plans, customer-specific reporting techniques, etc.Maintain a quality management system to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and customer-specific requirementsPartner with production and engineering on quality-related issuesCreates quality reports and action plans for reporting to executive management as well as customersWorks closely with other Minth facilities to ensure read-across continuity of systemsResponsible for other duties or special projects as assignedTo be a qualified candidate you must meet the following:3+ Years of Manufacturing Quality experienceStrong engineering backgroundKnowledge of roll forming, bending, welding processes and testing requirementsAuditing certification for IATF16949, VDA, ISO14001 standardsAbility to read and interpret Blueprints / GD&TAIAG Core Tools Training (APQP, PPAP, D/PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.)#PTI
