Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic

RESPONSIBILITIESPerformpreventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.Oil and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.Record and report damaged, worn or broken parts.Order and install replacement parts for machines.Identify the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.Repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.Prepare reports documenting work performed.Clean organizes, inventories, stocks and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools and supplies.Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.Collaborate with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.Make necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and make additional alterations to machinery as required. REQUIREMENTSHigh School DiplomaSome Vocational or Community College preferred5 years prior Automotive Manufacturing experience2+ years prior experience in Mechanical Systems MaintenanceMechanically inclined with great problem-solving skillsWorks well independently and with othersGood communication skillsOrganized with attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
