Goal: Deliver workshops, evaluate student work and mentor teens interested in game development at the TUMO LA Center for Creative Technologies.Start Date: Late MayHours/Location: 12 hours a week, in person in North Hollywood - initial working days will include Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays. The schedule will have slight and predictable changes each month.Pay Range: $30/hr - $50/hrTUMO's Vision: The world's full learning potential unlocked through innovative education resources available to everyone.The RoleTUMO Center for Creative Technologies is looking for agame development specialist to join the TUMO Los Angeles center and lead game development workshops for teens ages 12-18. At TUMO you will get a chance to inspire teens with your professional experience and open their eyes to the field of game development through hands-on projects and group workshops.About TUMOTUMO serves ~30,000 teens each week across 9 countries, including locations in Paris, Berlin, Zurich, Lyon, Yerevan and Kyiv among others. TUMO LA is the first US-based TUMO center made possible with funds from the State of California and the City of LA. TUMO students are between the ages of 12 and 18 and attend TUMO centers after school to learn skills at the intersection of technology and design, completely free of charge. TUMO LA is planning to open to 600 students in the Summer of 2025 and scale to 1,500 students per week over the first year.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead game development workshops for TUMO's students, delivering month-long pre-set workshop content Collect and evaluate student results at the completion of every workshopExamine student self-learning results and provide weekly feedbackProvide demonstrations to students to excite them about the field of game developmentOther duties may be assignedEducation and ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Game Development or the equivalent coursework in a related field or three + years of equivalent work experienceExcellent communication skills, including written communication, personal interaction, and public presentation in EnglishGood analytical and organizational skillsExcellent people skillsMastery of Unity and C# is a mustLanguage: English fluency is required, Spanish is a plusTo apply please submit your resume to: [Only applicants who submit though the listed email will be considered] Positions may not always be available at the time a resume is submitted.
