Mechanical TechnicianMaintenance and Repair:Perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical malfunctions in equipment such as pumps, compressors, and HVAC systems.Replace faulty components and ensure machinery operates efficiently.Diagnostics and Testing:Conduct diagnostic tests on mechanical systems to identify issues.Use tools like schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting.Installation and Optimization:Assist in the installation of new machinery or equipment.Optimize mechanical efficiency by adjusting settings and configurations.Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety standards and regulations during maintenance tasks.Ensure all work environments are clean and safe.Documentation:Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, and maintenance schedules using software like SAP or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).Collaboration:Work closely with engineers, operators, and other technicians to ensure production goals are met.Train co-workers on the proper use of machinery.Skills and QualificationsStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software.Ability to read technical documents like blueprints and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Educational RequirementsAssociate's degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field (preferred).Certifications such as OSHA 10 or specialized training in mechanical systems are advantageous.
