Manufacturing Technician

Red Oak Technology is seeking a Manufacturing Technician role for our client located in San Francisco, CA for a Contract to hire position.The morning shift hours are 6 AM -2:30 PM and evening shift hours are 2:30 -11 PM**Our client is developing advanced sensor hardware and vision algorithms for autonomous cars.Manufacturing Technicians combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits. They install, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electronic and computer-controlled electro-mechanical systems, such as robotic assembly machines, automated adhesive dispense and cure, laser, pattern recognition and active alignment, in both a R/D and Volume Manufacturing environment. This position will be reporting to the Manager of Operations.DetailsFollow all Safety and Laser Safety procedures and requirementsBe able to construct, test and calibrate engineering and production robotic and computer controlled assembly systems using engineering prints, schematics, assembly instructions and engineering directionKnowledgeable in high precision measuring equipment, calibration, and detailed record generationExperienced and Proficient in the **Mechanical hand and power toolsOscilloscopes, DMM, Signal Generators, Optics, CamerasLaser safety, lasers, laser pattern recognition, beam focus, and active alignmentAuto dispense and cure of UV adhesiveMultiple axis, vision assisted, computer controlled robotic assembly equipment in both a R/D and Volume Manufacturing environmentIdentification of "Root" Cause of Manufacturing, Quality and Yield issuesMicrosoft Office, Standard SPC and Flowcharts packagesPneumatic actuated Slides, Grippers, etc.Hex Pod Tables, Active AlignmentExcellent reading, writing, and communication skills in EnglishBe able to stand for long periods of timeLift and carry 35 lbs
