Senior Vice President, Public Affairs Practice Lead

Adfero seeks an experienced communications professional to lead and grow our established Public Affairs Practice. This individual should be passionate about strategic communications campaigns, knowledgeable about the public affairs landscape, and possess exceptional client service skills. This role also manages a team of diverse and talented communicators working across a variety of industry accounts. In this role you will:Lead Adfero's Public Affairs Practice, providing high-level strategic oversight across all of the practices' accounts.Serve as a thought leader and expert on issues involving the broader public affairs industry.Partner with account principals and account leads to set goals for individual client teams.Generate organic growth opportunities with existing clients, as well as cultivate, build and maintain a network of prospects to successfully win new clients.Supervise, mentor, and develop the team within the practice, including leading education sessions that highlight emerging issues and policies.Embrace overall responsibility for the financial success, resourcing and team performance of the practice.QualificationsThere are many skills we consider, but some things we look for include:15+ years of experience within communications / public affairsA detailed understanding of current public affairs prioritiesAn existing network of contacts in the public affairs industryExperience managing multiple, high-performing teamsAn understanding of both traditional and digital communications strategies and tacticsExpert presentation and interpersonal skillsThe ability to thrive in a collaborative environment Initiative with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement Bachelors degree in a related field, at minimum A passion for our Core Values: teamwork, responsibility, and respectAdditional InformationWe operate in a hybrid capacity"”working in-person in our downtown-DC office three days a week and remotely twice a week.A sampling of our benefits includes health insurance, a 401k match, wellness and professional development stipends, bonus plans and more.The base salary range for this role is $150,000-$250,000 annually.Adfero is an equal opportunity employer.
