We are looking for an Operations Manager (Leadership Program) to join us on our journey to transform the traditional supply chain industry.ResponsibilitiesWe view this individual to be the next generation of multi-functional leaders in the organizationAs such, for initial training, this individual will be placed in various roles throughout the company, varying from front line roles to logistics management roles to product roles to team management roles, to develop their abilitiesThis individual will be mentored by the senior executives, either the CEO and/or the CFO/COOA candidate who successfully completes the program will be able to do the following:Working directly with the CEO and/or CFO/COO to develop and implement the companys strategic plan and objectivesDevelop, launch, and stabilize new initiatives/business segments, including:Developing the strategic vision, goals, objectives, and tactics for the project at handWork cross-functionally with other departments and leaders to ensure alignment and successful execution of objectivesBuild and lead a high-performing team of employees that focuses on operational excellence, customer service, and maintaining a win-or-die mentality, setting clear goals and expectations and providing regular feedback to team membersEstablish and evaluate KPIs for organizations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive efficiency and effectivenessLeading from the front and doing whatever it takes to ensure operational successMaintain relationships with customer stakeholders, including buyers, influencers, users, and their vendorsLiaise between users and the product team for product/feature developmentOther duties as necessaryPrevious similar candidates have become senior level operations or product leaders within 2 years of starting with the companyEducation detailsUniversity degree in the following disciplines (required):PhysicsMathematicsScienceEngineeringComputer ScienceGPA 3.8+ (required)Key attributes (highly recommended)Leadership & teamworkProblem-solving & analytical experienceEntrepreneurial or project-based experienceCommunication & presentation skillsDemonstrated initiative & ownershipSports and Extracurriculars (recommended)Required SkillsDemonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all projects and an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as necessary.Ability to work cross-functionally across various departments - customer operations, IT, logistics, and finance departmentsUnderstanding of service-focused operations teams that support customers whose operations are 24/7/365Ability to multi-task projects and required tasks in an organized fashionAbility to work in a team environment as well as self-motivation in individual projectsAbility to communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of the organizationProficiency in Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, word)Pay range and compensation package$110K and up 12.5% bonusBenefitsAt Vorto we are committed to developing our employees and providing them exciting opportunities to grow and prosper in their careers.
