With offices conveniently located in the suburbs of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, CML has been defending clients for over 20 years.  Position **We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support the daily operations of our workers' compensation defense team. Legal Assistants are a critical part of the CML team; they support their assigned attorneys in effective file management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays organized, and is comfortable with technology. - Assist attorneys in all phases of workers' compensation defense litigation.- Manage and organize case files, including (primarily) electronic and paper records.- Coordinate and manage discovery, including the collection, review, and production of documents.- Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.- Maintain and update case calendars by tracking deadlines and scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings.- Communicate with clients, witnesses, medical providers, and opposing counsel to gather information and provide updates.- Perform administrative tasks, such as copying, scanning, and digital filing.- Experience in an administrative role.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Reliable, detail-oriented, and communicative.- Competitive salary commensurate with experience.- Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, and paid time off (retirement plan contributions after one year).- Opportunities for professional development and advancement in the areas of client development and leadership.- Mentorship from experienced attorneys and staff.***Please feel free to submit any questions via email to careers@.Carpenter, McCadden & Lane, LLP is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds.
